The Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994 increased the dollar threshold for certifying contractor claims submitted under the Contract Disputes Act form $50,000 to $100,000. For claims exceeding $100,000, contractors are required to certify: (1) the claim is made in good faith (2) the supporting data is complete and accurate to the best of the contractor’s knowledge and belief (3) the amount claimed accurately reflects the contract adjustment for which the contractor believes the government is liable and (4) the certifier is duly authorized to certify the claim on behalf of the contractor.
